One of the possible endings I did away with, after having planted the material for it, was a huge climactic battle with the Ladies at the head of the army of the dead and the dragons darkening the sky overhead for a final pitched battle between “good” and “evil.” I actually don’t consider the final villains very evil, with some obvious exceptions. Most of them are more in the moral category of a virus or disease, it isn’t that they’re evil, it is simply that we cannot co-exist very well. I did show some scenes of the final battle but the only scene I actually did with the Ladies at the end, after putting in their steeds to be seen and wondered at, was them sailing off with Ferris for their final gambit to save the world. Though I figure they probably did do a little fighting to give a morale boost to the Swarm somewhere “off screen.”
